  1. San Pedro Alcántara fairSan Pedro

    San Pedro's fair runs at the Finca de La Caridad for the fifth year in a row. It ends on Monday 19 October, the feast of San Pedro de Alcántara. Nueva Andalucía held its own fair from 23 to 26 July.

  2. Nueva Andalucía sports complex passes halfwayend of 2026

    Work on the €15 million municipal sports complex in Nueva Andalucía passed 50%. The first phase on more than 30,000 m² has an 11-a-side artificial grass pitch, an 8-lane 400 m athletics track with 1,000 seats and a 6,000 m² building for clubs. The pitch and track are due by the end of 2026, and an Olympic pool is planned for a second phase.

  3. Wildfire in Benahavís5 to 6 km west

    A fire started on Sunday afternoon near the Ermita del Rosario, on the A-7175 road to Benahavís village, and burned more than 300 hectares of pine and scrub. The village was confined, the A-7175 closed, and about 50 people were evacuated from Montemayor Alto. It was stabilised on the evening of 14 September. Reports did not name Nueva Andalucía, but hillside areas on this coast carry a summer fire risk.

  4. €150 million housing project near Puerto Banúsno dates

    ARG Promociones bought a plot of more than 12,000 m² a few minutes from the marina and the Guadalpín Banús hotel, from a company linked to the Banús family. It plans luxury homes. The number of homes and a building timetable have not been announced.

  5. El Lago Club opens at Real de La Quinta5 km

    The resort above La Quinta opened its club around a lake of more than 35,000 m², with a sand beach, kayaks, paddle boards and water bikes, a 6-hole golf course, tennis and padel. Le Max Wellness Club runs the gym and spa with a 25 m indoor pool and 450 member places, and Saltao serves Peruvian and Mediterranean food. Club tel. 952 761 900.

  6. Work starts on San Pedro's bus station2027

    Marbella began clearing an 8,100 m² plot by the A-7 and the A-397 Ronda road for a €1.5 million bus interchange with six bays, taxi ranks and parking. The Junta will tender and build it, with completion expected before the end of 2027. Buses in San Pedro now stop at scattered points.

  7. Hospital Costa del Sol finishes its expansion16 to 20 min

    The Junta de Andalucía opened the enlarged public hospital after an investment of more than €100 million. Two new buildings add about 40,000 m², 16 operating theatres, radiotherapy and nuclear medicine, and free space for emergencies, the laboratory and the pharmacy. It is the public hospital for births and emergencies in Marbella.
